As we get acquainted with eachother, you should know that I only write about people, places and things I believe in, or brands I can stand behind. I'm not being paid for this post, but as a writer who loves a good tip from fashion and lifestyle bloggers, I thought I would share one of my own. Meet The Zoe Report's Box of Style Winter 2016 edition - $400 of fashion and beauty for only $99 a season. Haven't you always wanted to be styled by Rachel Zoe? Well here's your chance. For those of you who don't know, Rachel Zoe is a distinguished designer, stylist, editor and entrepreneur renowned for her effortless take on glamour. Her collections, including ready-to-wear, footwear and jewelry, deliver aspirational yet accessible fashion to trend-conscious, multi-hyphenate women. With a profound appreciation for classic silhouettes tailored to reflect modern ideals, her designs are fashionable yet functional – befitting a range of lifestyles, ages and occasions. I discovered Rachel Zoe years ago when my mother and I got hooked on her TV show, The Rachel Zoe Project, and I have since rocked several looks from and inspired by The Zoe Report and Rachel Zoe. I started my subscription back in the fall of 2015 and can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed every single Box of Style. Plus, the entire box and its contents double as fab gifts for your girl squad. I gifted my sister the gold LuvAJ necklace and matching ring from the summer 2016 box. It's a chic statement piece she can wear to book signings - yes, she's a writer too. Here's what the Box of Style subscription will cost you. Price: Seasonal - $99/4x a year billed every three months, Annual $349/year, save $50, billed annually. Use code WINTER20 this month for added savings. Now back to the box! Every subscription box includes a hero item, and this season's hero did not dissappoint - Dylanlex, Zoey Custom Necklace, retail value $200. Who doesn't love a little extra sparkle around the holidays? I plan to wear mine as a collar with a cute button down, and maybe over a black dress or turtleneck. It's super versatile, but not for the faint of heart. In the picture I snapped below, it reads a bit warmer in tone than it actually is. Think bright and sparkly with drama a-la Breakfast at Tiffany's but instead of pearls, crystals! Next item: The Mood Setter - D.L. & Co. collaborated with The Zoe Report and created this "Birch" Custom Candle, retail value $50. I wish you could smell this scent! Anybody who knows me, knows I love a good candle and this one is ah-mah-zing. It comes in a chic black and gold box marked "BIRCH: Enjoy the warm aroma of amber and birch wood accented with fragrant oak, cedar and vanilla musk." I considered gifting this to my mother who is obsessed with all things amber scented but not sure I can part ways with this one just yet - the smell is that intoxicating. Now one of my favorite items in the box - a luxe pebbled leather card case from Dagne Dover, retail value $50. Gold hardware, check. Rich navy hue, check. This chic little wallet is one I'll be stowing my cards in for a while. Plus, like most of the products featured in the box, it comes with - bonus - a 25% off gift card to Dagne Dover. Score! I actually use a similar version right now and rotate it from purse to purse as I swap out bags. Super handy since I choose my handbag based on my daily mood and outfit, doesn't everybody? "Between glamourous parties and cozy nights at home, winter calls for chic yet effortless on-the-go style. This season's ultra-luxe white box is filled with my and my team's favorite finds - everything you will need for winter and beyond. Take your look from desk to dinner and stay refreshed in between! I hope you are as obsessed with it as much as I am!" - Rachel Zoe, Editor-in-Chief, The Zoe Report Did she say chic, yet effortless on-the-go style? Yes, please! And it seems the remaining items in the winter box of style were made to do just that, like this classic Soia & Kyo Cable Knit Hat, retail value $50. The team at TZR offered it to subscribers in three cold weather hues - black, ivory and merlot. I chose merlot. Which one would you choose? The merlot is lovely, but now I'm wishing I had the other colors too! Beanies never fit my head and usually make me look ridiculous, however I tried this one on and to my utter surprise it works! Perfect for those impromptu trips to Colorado. I cannot wait to try the Tidal Enzyme Brightening Water Cream which promises to brighten, smooth and hydrate, retail value $65. I am always on the hunt for a great face cream especially in the winter. Oh and did you see below? I'm wearing a spritz of Viva La Juicy now - the winter spotlight product - which is like a bonus, or extra special sample of something that TZR is currently obsessing over. In a previous box it was once a deluxe sample of La Mer - I am not kidding. One of the first things I did after opening the box of style is swipe on the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Berry pop to achieve the perfect pout. I can vouch for its luxurious feel and moisturizing effect, plus the color compliments my fair skin and dark hair, but it looks like one of those versatile shades that almost anyone can wear. As Rachel Zoe would say, "A bold lip is the quintessential accessory of the beauty world - it pulls a look together and draws in the eye." I couldn't agree more. I hope you enjoyed hearing about my pick for the best subscription box money can buy for the fashion obsessed. Do you have a favorite subscription box that you are loving?
